Magniberg Spring / Summer 2024 collections

Magniberg has recently unveiled Gelato and Wild, two new heavyweight towels made in organic cotton with new campaign called “Wild Life”, and a new wear collection featuring PJs, the quintessential slip, the ultimate t-shirt and lace tops and pants with new campaign ‘Copenhagen Dreaming’.

Wild Life

The Gelato towel collection comes in solid colours named after ice-cream flavours like passion yellow, cherry brown or coconut white. The collection romanticises the idea of Italian ice- cream: gelato presented in a colourful display, when choosing your flavour.

In contrast, the Wild towel collection is adorned with bold animal patterns. Available in Leopard and Tiger, both comes with black binding paired with colours such as a strong yellow, pink, or blue in Tiger; and white, red or purple in Leopard.

“The towels work on their own, but I also like to show how different colours and patterns can come together. I imagine a Wild towel hanging in a white bathroom, mixed with a Gelato plain. Say Wild yellow, tiger and Gelato nocciola brown.”, says Bengt Thornefors, Co-Founder of Magniberg.

Gelato and Wild towels are made in Portugal from organic cotton and are 625 grams per square metre.

The twisted long-staple yarns enable a terry loop that is both clean and plush, while the folded hems adds character and body. Not a fluffy luxurious towel that doesn’t dry you properly, but just the right balance of dry and soft, made with an eye for detail.

Copenhagen Dreaming

The PJs are distinguished by the fabric from the Magniberg bedwear collection: Sorbetto, a luxurious cotton sateen, and Dolce, a crisp poplin, highlighted with contrast piping and Mother of Pearl buttons. Both styles have side pockets, an integrated waistband and a hidden button fly, meticulously made with French seams, neat and delicate and speak to culture and quality. Playing with the idea of beauty, you can turn them inside out and they look just as good.

Sugar is made with a Thomas Mason textile, also with contrasting black or white piping. Thomas Mason has been making premium shirting textile since 1796, and is known for its rich poplin, unwavering quality and heritage. Sugar comes in two different stripes in classic shirt and pants, with contrast piping and the black Magniberg label. Also a top and boxer with a touch of pyjama attitude and a lot of fluidity and freedom. Sugar is approached by making pyjamas with the mindset of appraising every single thing.

Rose lace, garments made for stepping out into the world, is a sheer floral textile inspired by lingerie woven from Italian viscose. It embodies the vision of Magniberg in the broadest sense: elegance and romance, edginess and pure luxe. While, Jersey, the staple in every culture, cut just right for different body shapes. It is garment dyed and washed to get the perfect worn-in feel and look.

For the Tulip slip, Magniberg developed their own cupro fabric, striped, soft and slightly sheer. The slip is a classic Magniberg reference, and an idea or vision of a woman wearing a slip dress, coming out of a bed, walking around, romantic and sensual, like you’ve seen in the movies.

“Wear Magniberg and make some nice new friends. You will look smart, sensual, intellectual, romantic. You can join a band or do some gardening. Sex and romance. Or just plain attitude.” Bengt Thornefors, Co-Founder, Magniberg
