Kvadrat Shade presents Apo X by Erwan Bouroullec
Apo X is Kvadrat Shade’s first patterned metallised roller blind textile developed in collaboration with Erwan Bouroullec. Rooted in architectural language, it references the structural rhythm of vertical and horizontal lines found in façades, windows, and frameworks – translating these into a composed textile surface suitable for contemporary interior projects.

The design is offered in two distinct line configurations, each exploring variations in density and rhythm. These patterns are carefully calibrated to introduce a sense of spatial order while remaining visually discreet. The construction demonstrates the precision of Kvadrat Shade weaving, and reflects a considered approach to both aesthetics and performance.
Colour plays a supporting role in Apo X. Subtle accents are introduced to shift the textile’s tone – warming or cooling the surface without dominating it. The palette is designed to integrate seamlessly within the Kvadrat Shade collection, allowing for coherent specification across different spatial conditions.

Erwan Bouroullec: “That is the power of design, introducing elements that seamlessly integrate into a space and quietly contribute to its character.”
Functionally, Apo X is engineered to meet the practical needs of architectural environments. It supports daylight control, maintains outward visibility, and contributes to acoustic comfort. The metallised backing enhances solar reflection, reducing heat gain and improving visual comfort. Apo X is Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze, aligning with Kvadrat’s ongoing focus on responsible material solutions.
Apo X offers a balanced response to architectural and interior requirements – combining technical functionality with a restrained visual identity that complements a wide range of applications.
