Kvadrat unveils Technicolour by Peter Saville
The celebrated collaboration between Kvadrat and Peter Saville opens a sensorial, thoughtful new chapter this autumn with the launch of Technicolour – a craft-orientated, sculptural collection that visually and haptically translates the industrial processes in textile production. The name relates to the spectrum of bold hues commonly used to mark flocks of sheep that are spectacularly incongruous in pastoral settings.
To mark the launch, Peter Saville, a long-term creative consultant for Kvadrat, has conceived a presentation that will be unveiled at the company’s flagship Milan showroom, recently redesigned by Alfredo Häberli, during Milan Design Week. Insightful and playful, it explores the narrative of the collection, which arches from agricultural to industrial, and reminds us that nature is not just a place to visit – it’s our home too.
New high-end residential showroom by Vincent Van Duysen Architects
Milan Design Week 2021 will mark the opening of Kvadrat’s redesigned high-end residential showroom. Designed by Vincent Van Duysen Architects, the concept of the showroom was inspired by library spaces. Vincent Van Duysen has created a space that conveys a sense of warmth and comfort, whilst also representing the heritage and expertise of Kvadrat’s residential collections. For the redesign of the space, the designers have created a Milanese living room, in which customers can be met in two different environments, formal and informal.
The elegant and sophisticated space will feature the full offering of the company’s residential collections and brands: Sahco, Kvadrat/Raf Simons, Kvadrat curtains, and its rugs. Primarily to be used by interior designers specialising in residential projects, the showroom will serve as an inspirational resource for home decor.

Storylines by Kvadrat
Kvadrat’s new curtain collection, Storylines will be presented in the new residential space. The collection explores intervals between texture, pattern and colour. Movement ebbs and flows through Storylines. Seen from inside a space, lines emerge from the curtains as sculptural drapes, cascading stripes, and vibrant pleats. When looking out, views are transformed into constellations of lines and diffuse colours. Kvadrat during Milan Design Week 2021 The atmospheric palette for Storylines takes cues from natural light and midnight skies. A complete scale of contrasting nuances, it spans neutrals with a contemporary twist, modern pastels, and saturated to muted tones, including almost black accents.
