    "body": "<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Developed by Giulio Ridolfo in collaboration with architect Lorenzo Bini of Binocle, <em>In Rainbows</em> unfolds within the existing architectural framework of the Milan showroom by Alfredo H&auml;berli. Engaging with the concrete columns, fa&ccedil;ade and linear geometry of the space, the installation is constructed of lightweight painted oak, providing a precise yet adaptable framework for textiles. Tensioned within a geometric, modular structure, the materials range from the dense tactility of <em>Twisted Flower</em> to the transparent curtain textiles of Zulu and Muntin, creating layered spatial effects through shifts in opacity, colour and light.</p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">Across the installation <em>In Rainbows</em>, textiles, colour and sound are connected through a shared principle of phasing: a musical technique in which parallel rhythms gradually shift out of sync and realign. In <em>Twisted Flower</em>, variations in yarn thickness and colour create a rhythmic, shifting surface which is echoed in the space through subtle changes in angle and tension altering the perception.</p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">The phasing logic extends into the sonic dimension, with a musical curation developed with Alessandro Costariol. Presented throughout Salone del Mobile, a four-part performance of layered vinyl sets reinforces the installation&rsquo;s exploration of gradual transformation through small variations. Similar to woven textile &ndash; where minute variations in tension or thread direction create a different surface &ndash; phasing reveals how slight deviations can reshape the entire field of experience. A sudden shift in rhythm and timing, drifting apart and realigning, generating new harmonies. Through this, Ridolfo brings together architecture, textile and sound in a cohesive spatial experience defined by precision and materiality.</p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">The project stands as a tribute to Frans Dijkmeijer. Regarded not only as a master weaver but as an artist, Dijkmeijer approached textiles with a rare combination of precision and poetic sensibility. His practice was deeply informed by close observation of nature, structure and colour, reflected in a body of work that balances intuition with control.</p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">In 1999, a close partnership began with Ridolfo, introducing a distinct chromatic sensibility to Dijkmeijer&rsquo;s structural approach, seen in textiles such as the Steelcut collection. The sophisticated binding combines a single yarn colour of varying thicknesses with a bespoke two-coloured twisted yarn, creating a rhythmic, tactile surface. The twisted yarn mimics the simple gesture of twisting a single flower between the fingers, capturing its dynamic colour energy.</p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">Giulio Ridolfo: &ldquo;I focused on capturing the experience of picking flowers in colour &ndash; carefully observing them and immersing myself in floral paintings such as <em>Le r&ecirc;ve</em> by Odilon Redon and <em>Coquelicots</em> by Emil Nolde. The twisted yarns are a joyful homage to these two masters, creating a subtle interference, a glimpse of light within a block colour.&rdquo;</p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">The colour palette for <em>Twisted Flower</em> is Giulio Ridolfo&rsquo;s interpretation of the multidimensional weaving structure. Drawing on his extensive colour archive and botanical knowledge, it combines calm yet complex neutrals with energetic, vivid shades drawn from specific plants, such as the red of <em>Fritillaria Imperialis</em>, blue of <em>Ceanothus Thyrsiflorus</em> and yellow of <em>Gossypium</em>. He studied at the Academy of Industrial Design in Eindhoven, before working for legacy textile brands.</p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">Dijkmeijer&rsquo;s relationship with Kvadrat began in 1992, leading to a substantial body of innovative upholstery textiles, including Colline, Vale, Ripple, Steelcut, Steelcut Trio and Twisted Flower.</p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">The possibilities of materials and weaving techniques were the greatest source of inspiration to Dijkmeijer. He perceived materials, colours and textures as an organic whole: as with clouds, fire or water, a single change in the weaving process could transform the overall expression of a textile. Achieving harmony between these elements was fundamental to his designs. His studio functioned as a laboratory where, through experimenting with types of yarn and weaving methods, he constantly sought solutions to problems of his own creation.</p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">Characteristic of his textiles is the way they combine extreme technical complexity with an almost mathematical and logical simplicity.</p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">Beyond the loom, Dijkmeijer&rsquo;s home and studio in Cestayrols, France, set within a castle, offered a deeply personal landscape for his creative life. There, the boundaries between studio, dwelling and garden dissolved into a single environment, shaped by his vast collections of objects, plants, furnishings, music and art. Marked by recurring forms and subtle variations, this personal world resonated closely with his method of non-identical repeats at the loom. It reveals a more intimate portrait of Dijkmeijer: not only as a master weaver, but as a sensitive collector whose surroundings quietly informed the refinement of his work.</p><h4 id=\"about-binocle-lorenzo-bini\" style=\"text-align: justify\">About Binocle &amp; Lorenzo Bini</h4><p style=\"text-align: justify\">BINOCLE is the office led by Italian architect Lorenzo Bini that deals with the transformation of existing spaces, from temporary structures to permanent buildings and gardens. Born in 1971 and educated in Milan and Oslo, Lorenzo graduated in 1998 from Politecnico di Milano and worked in Milan and Rotterdam until 2003, when he started his own practice in Milan.</p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">Alongside his professional activity, Lorenzo has taught at the Politecnico di Milano, at the Design Academy Eindhoven and at NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan. Between 2021 and 2025, he was a member of the Council of the Order of Architects, Landscape Planners and Conservators of the Province of Milan with responsibility for cultural activities.</p><h4 id=\"about-costariol\" style=\"text-align: justify\">About Costariol</h4><p style=\"text-align: justify\">Based in Milan, Costariol is a studio that specialises in graphic design and creative direction and crafts distinctive brand identities. They pursue a forward-thinking approach that highlights typography as a resonant voice in design, earning acclaim across diverse industries.</p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">Costariol is an ED Awards-winning studio, having been selected for the Tokyo TDC Annual in 2017 and nominated for the Compasso d&rsquo;Oro Award in its XXII and XXV editions.</p>",
